The baboons with fun looking faces |
In the nature reserve I saw baboon that eat sea food and I was surprised how this happen because baboons do not eat sea food as they are terrestrial animals. We were advised not to approach the baboons but I couldn't resist I wanted to take pics with them.

It was fun to be in the most windy and oldest light house in South Africa. The history of the light house excites a lot but even though it have some said stories of sailors who wrecked their ships below the lighthouse because of fog and mist. The wind was too much in the light house i almost lost my hat and I caught flying specs from another Korean guy that were blown by wind. That was the coldest time I ever experienced in my life because I come from the warm part of the country (Durban) where you can go to the beach even on winter because of warm Mozambique current.

The significant icon of the country |
Information center of this nature reserve have little information than it suppose to be, but it is interesting and I think they have to add more info there about the animals they have and plants they have because they are telling us about only three flowers out of more than 150 fynbos species they have. In the same place (information center) I saw bones of a whale, in the first site I thought they were bones of a dinosaur because they are so huge. Such things like these bones should be kept for future generations if it happen that whales become extinct the future generation can see how did they look like and bones can be the evidence that how big they were.

Finally we went to the beach where I was able to see the cold Atlantic Ocean for the first time in my life and I was able to take pictures with my practical presenters and I touched the Atlantic water which made me excited a lot because am used to Indian Ocean water. Climbing mountain was the most fun part because I was still expecting to see baboons again but I couldn't. The mountain was also windy but not windy as the light house, the only problem with mountain was that it had sand and sand hurt my eyes.

In my university life I never had such an exciting excursion and I don't think I will ever have this chance again. I enjoyed every moment of it although we were travelling with a bus not in good condition, I hope next time the transport will be great and I really appreciate that I was given a chance to go out and see nature as I am a scientist
